As the Director of Software Engineering, Alan oversees the teams responsible for developing the software powering the BCMobile device and the BConnect web platform. His leadership ensures that Brighton's technological solutions meet the highest standards of innovation and reliability.
Outside the office, Alan is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and traveling. His love for nature and exploration fuels his creativity and problem-solving skills at work. Alan is particularly excited about the future of BConnect, Brighton's flagship platform. He anticipates significant advancements, especially in machine learning applications related to surface intelligence. These innovations promise to revolutionize how Brighton detects and analyzes surface preparation techniques and demonstrates Brighton's commitment to cutting-edge technologies and its deep expertise in surface intelligence.

Say hello to George Schlosser, a dedicated member of the Production and Service team at Brighton Science. George has been with Brighton for two years, and he plays a crucial role in building and programming a variety of Surface Analyst products. George works on the programming of BC Mobile instruments, specifically with the algorithm download for BConnect, as well as updating software and firmware for Surface Analyst 5001's and 3001's. From getting instruments ready for calibration, to performing inspection and repair on instruments returned for service and updates, he tackles a wide range of technical duties every day. Before joining Brighton, George received his Associate's Degree and has 17 years of experience working in culinary arts.

Andy has over 35 years of experience in manufacturing, product management, data application, and entrepreneurship. His work has focused on the power of data to change behavior and achieve breakthrough results. He joined Brighton Science as CEO in July of 2021. He has an BA in history from Grove City College and MBA from the University of Chicago.

Giles originally founded Brighton Technologies for materials science R&D and assembled the team that developed the technology behind the first Surface Analyst™. His focus on fundamental research & mentoring have given Brighton a strong foundation in science combined with the power of practical problem solving.

Blake has spent his career in technology in high growth, high performing organizations. He has experience in all aspects of technology from hardware, security, data engineering, software development and operations management. He holds a degree in Political Science, Psychology, and Philosophy from the University of Saint Thomas.

Tom began his career at KPMG as a CPA and was admitted to the partnership in 1986. He has been an executive at various technology companies and joined Brighton Science in 2016 as CFO/COO. He oversees Brighton Science’s consulting practice and financial operations. Tom holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.
